Children’s Hospital Boston is the primary pediatric teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School. Although antiretroviral drugs are still not widely available in many resource-poor areas, a child’s family-members may be able to reach a clinic or hospital that can provide these drugs. In areas heavily affected by AIDS, hospitals are often overwhelmed by the large number of patients that they have to look after. In many cases these hospitals have lost staff to AIDS, making it even more difficult for them to cope. As you may know, Pickleberry Pie, our parentorganization, has put on thousands of free monthly concerts in over 22children’s hospitals around the U.

We now have an opportunityto support these free concerts and expand to new hospitals. In order to do this, our Pickleberry Pie volunteers will be collectingand screening both storytelling and concert DVDs for use in hospitalsnationwide.
